Questions
Questions before you download
Which is the best EV charging app in Pakistan?
Sarai is Pakistan's #1 EV charging app and the one that covers the whole journey: every public charger in the country on one live map, a trip planner that knows your car's real range, turn-by-turn navigation to each stop, and charging paid from a PKR wallet. It is free, carries no ads, and you can find a charger and plan a trip without creating an account.
Is there a free EV charger app in Pakistan?
Yes. Sarai is free on both Android and iOS, with no subscription, no membership and no ads. You pay only for the electricity when you charge at a Sarai charger, from a prepaid wallet in PKR.
Does the Sarai app have ads?
No. There are no ads, no sponsored pins on the map and no paid placement. The chargers you see are the chargers that exist, ranked by distance and speed, and the app is paid for by the charging itself.
Do I need an account to use Sarai?
Not to find a charger or plan a trip: open the app and it works. You create an account only when you want to pay for a charge from the wallet, because the receipt and the balance have to belong to someone.
Which phones does it run on?
iPhone and iPad from the App Store, and Android phones from Google Play. Both stores carry the same app.
Do I need the app to find a charger?
No. Every charger on the map has a page on this site with its power, connectors, price, opening hours and directions, with no signup. The app adds live status on Sarai chargers, trip planning around your car's real range, and paying for the charge.
How do I pay for charging?
From a prepaid wallet in PKR. Top it up in the app, scan the QR at the charger, and the session settles against the wallet with a receipt. Community chargers are paid however that operator asks.
Does it know my car?
Pick your model once from 397 in the catalogue and the planner uses its real battery size, charging curve and connector, so the stops it picks are ones your car can actually use at a speed it can actually take.
