Mezban · for hosts
Be the stop on the road
A sarai was where a journey stopped for the night and the animals were fed. Mezban is the one who keeps it. Put a charger at your site and you become the reason an EV driver chooses your car park over the one down the road — for twenty minutes, or for the night.
Who this is for
Somewhere a car is already parked
- Hotels and resortsThe strongest case in the country. A car parked overnight is a car that can charge slowly and cheaply, and on the hill-station roads the charger is often the deciding factor in which hotel gets booked at all.
- Malls, restaurants and cafésDwell time you already have. Forty minutes over a meal is a useful charge, and the charger is a reason to choose you that your competitor cannot copy quickly.
- Petrol pumps and service areasYou have the site, the frontage, the grid connection and the habit. The motorway gaps are the single biggest hole in Pakistan's network — see the route pages for where.
- Offices, showrooms and workplacesStaff and visitor charging that you can price, cap, or give away — and that puts you on the map for everyone else.
How it works
Four steps, and only one of them is yours
What you get
Beyond the box on the wall
- A page on this siteEvery charger gets its own page with power, connectors, price, opening hours, photos and directions, marked up so it is eligible for a place result in Google. That is the free traffic, and it is the part most charger vendors do not give you.
- Drivers sent to youYour charger is on the map in the app, in the city listing, and in the route planner's stop selection for anyone driving past. The planner picks the best charger per leg — being on it is the difference between a charger and a used charger.
- Live status, and someone watching itFaults raise alerts, faulty stations surface in a maintenance view, and work orders can be assigned to a team. Phantom sessions and power cycles are reconciled automatically rather than becoming an argument with a customer.
- The numbersSessions, energy delivered, revenue, ratings and fault reports — plus listing analytics showing how many people saw the charger and how many actually came.
- Reviews from people who chargedReviews are tied to real sessions, so the rating on your listing is from drivers who actually plugged in, not from anyone with an opinion.
- A claim on a listing you already haveIf your site is already a community pin on the map, claim it. It becomes a managed charger with live status, your pricing and your analytics behind it.
Questions
Questions site owners ask
How much does it cost to put an EV charger at my business?
The hardware and the electrical work are the cost; the software is not. There is no subscription and no per-charger platform fee — Sarai's share is a split of the per-kWh rate shown to the driver, agreed with you and settled after the session. What the hardware costs depends on whether you want a 22 kW AC unit for overnight and dwell-time charging or a DC fast charger for a motorway stop, which is an order of magnitude apart. Ask us with your site and supply details and we will cost it.
Do I need a three-phase connection?
For anything above a single-phase wallbox, yes, and the size of your existing connection is usually what decides between AC and DC rather than budget. That is the first thing the site check establishes.
Who deals with a driver whose charge fails?
We do. Sessions are monitored, faults raise alerts, phantom sessions and power cycles are reconciled automatically, and drivers report problems in the app rather than at your front desk. Refunds for a confirmed billing error go back to the driver's wallet.
Can I offer free or discounted charging to my guests?
Yes. Discounts run through the portal with a dual-approval workflow and highest-wins precedence, so you can give a rate to guests, to staff, or to everyone at certain hours, without changing the public price.
My charger is already on your map. Can I control its listing?
Yes — claim it. A claimed listing becomes a managed charger: live status instead of a static pin, your own pricing, your opening hours, and the listing analytics behind it.
Will an EV charger actually bring people in?
It depends entirely on where you are. On a hill-station road or a motorway gap it is decisive, because the alternative is not charging at all. In a well-covered part of Lahore or Karachi it is a differentiator rather than a draw. The site check is honest about which one you are, because a charger nobody uses does not pay for itself and we are paid out of what it earns.
