Before you buy
The three numbers the brochure will not give you straight
Rated range is not one number. WLTP, NEDC and CLTC are measured on different cycles and are not comparable — a 705 km CLTC figure and a 420 km WLTP figure are barely a hundred kilometres apart on the M-2 in August. The Real range column above derates each one for its own standard and for Pakistani motorway speeds, and the range converter shows the working.
DC speed decides your trip, not your commute. A 30 kW car and a 150 kW car both charge overnight at home in the same time. On a Lahore–Karachi run the difference is hours. Running cost depends on where you charge, not what you drive. At the subsidised off-peak home rate an EV costs a fraction of petrol. Charged only at public DC fast chargers the saving is far smaller — the arithmetic in full.

Are electric cars cheaper to buy in Pakistan because of the NEV policy?
The tax treatment helps: sales tax on an EV is 1 percent against 17-18 percent on an equivalent petrol car, plus reduced customs duty on imports and on charging equipment. There is no direct cash subsidy on cars — the cash goes to two- and three-wheelers.
