Sarai

Sarai Operator

Run a charging network from one portal

A zero-install web portal and a staff app, with role-based access from platform admin down to a single site owner. Bring any standard charge point online, price it, watch it, fix it and get paid for it — and have the drivers already on the map find it.

Roaming

OCPI 2.2.1, properly

Connect to another network and your chargers appear in their app, and theirs in yours. Locations, sessions, CDRs, tokens and tariffs are exchanged under OCPI 2.2.1, with per-party pricing and visibility, a traffic log for when a partner says they sent something they did not, reconciliation, rebilling, and credential rotation.

This matters more in Pakistan than it does elsewhere, because no single operator is going to cover the country in this decade. A driver who can use every charger is a driver who buys an EV.

Distribution

The part that is not software

A charge point management system is worth what its drivers are worth. Sarai's are already here: every managed charger is on the map in the app with live status, in the city listings, in the motorway route planner's stop selection, and on a page on this site built to rank for the searches a driver actually makes.

105 chargers are on that map today, 78 of them DC fast, across 30 cities. Adding yours puts them in front of the people already looking.

Questions

Questions operators ask

Which chargers does the OCPP gateway support?

Any charge point speaking OCPP 1.6. The gateway is written against shipped firmware rather than the specification alone — multi-vendor quirks, export-register metering and string-typed payloads are handled — and there is a Bluetooth fallback for units that ignore remote current limits.

Is there a licence fee or a per-charger charge?

No subscription and no per-charger licence. Sarai's platform share is a split of the per-kWh rate shown to the driver, agreed with you, recorded per session and settled afterwards. It is not added on top of the displayed price.

Can I set different prices at different times of day?

Yes. Pricing has precedence from per-charger time-of-use windows up to a platform-wide rate policy, per-kWh or flat, with an optional idle fee. Time-of-use pricing and any discount are shown to the driver before they start.

How do revenue splits work with site owners?

Splits run across platform, distributor and site owner, are configurable per distributor, and are computed and recorded on each session. The portal carries accrual, revenue by tenant and a running view of what is owed, with settlements raised and tracked against it.

Do you support roaming with other networks?

Yes, OCPI 2.2.1 — locations, sessions, CDRs, tokens and tariffs, with per-party pricing and visibility, a traffic log, reconciliation, rebilling and credential rotation.

Can I white-label it?

Branding is configurable per tenant, and modules can be turned on and priced individually. What that means for a particular deployment is a conversation rather than a checkbox — ask us.

We already have chargers running on something else. How hard is the move?

If they speak OCPP 1.6 they can be repointed to the gateway and provisioned like any other unit. The work is usually the commercial side — tariffs, splits and who owns which site — rather than the technical one.
